What causes stretch marks?
Pregnancy, weight training, and weight fluctuations cause continuous and progressive stretching of the skin – causing skin tension, and damaging the dermal collagen fiber and proteins. Stretch marks (striae) develop when the connective tissue framework of the skin is ruptured. When the components of the skin (the “building blocks” – collagen, elastin, fibrillin fibers) degrade, the structural integrity of the skin is impaired, and “scarring” occurs in the dermis. This scarring is what presents itself as stretch marks.

Capryl Glucoside is a, natural, non-ionic surfactant, ideal for all foaming and cleansing products. Our Capryl Glucoside, obtained from renewable raw materials, is a combination of plant based fatty alcohols (coconut c8-16) and glucose (corn starch). Decyl Glucoside is a mild surfactant and because it does not dry it is ideal for the formulation of personal hygiene and toiletry cosmetics.
Collagen
Collagen is an integral part of the support structure of the skin. The addition of our collagen to the formulation fills in unwanted wrinkles and stretch marks.
Elastin
